Rambling Date 1001.1

When I was thinking about starting this blog, one late night when I was trying to sleep but my brain wanted to think about all the random things, it came with the idea to use "stardates" instead of actual dates in the blog. (If you don't know what "stardate" is, it's a random date / calendar system used by the sci-fi TV show Star Trek, and yes, I am that much of a nerd.)

I told my brain that stardates aren't actual dates. They were mostly random numbers made by the writers of the show that changed often without any set rule. My brain retorted that we can just make our own number and increment it by one as the days progress. After some further back and forth between me and my brain we decided to not remove the actual dates, but just add our own "Rambling Date" to it.

Though now that I am actually writing this, it seems utterly foolish, but what's life without some foolishness in it? 

So here it is then, officially launching the blog on Rambling Date 1001.1.
